Who we are

TayCau Fishing is a guided fishing business based in Hanoi, Vietnam. In this policy, "we" and "us" means TayCau Fishing. If you have any question about your personal information, email Booking@taycaufishing.com.

What we collect

• Booking and enquiry forms: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number and country code, country, the tour, dates, number of anglers, gear needs (type of gear, left- or right-handed reel) and anything you write in the message box.
• Register-interest form: your name, email and the species or dates you are interested in.
• Messages: what you send us by email, WhatsApp or Zalo.
• For your trip: details you choose to give us so we can run it, such as meal choices, allergies or dietary needs, hotel name for pickup and flight times for airport transfers.
• Payments: deposits and balances paid by PayPal are processed by PayPal. We see the payment and your PayPal name and email, but never your card or bank details.
• Website use: our website is hosted by Squarespace, which uses cookies and collects basic visit data (such as pages viewed and browser type) to run and secure the site.

How we use it

• To answer your enquiry and send availability, itineraries and prices.
• To book and run your trip: transport, guides, boats, gear, meals and accommodation.
• To take your deposit and balance, and keep the records we need for accounting.
• To contact you before and during your trip about plans, weather or changes.

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed to run your trip: for example with our guides and crew, hotels, drivers, and partner outfitters for international trips such as Argentina. Our service providers also handle data for us: Squarespace (website and forms), PayPal (payments), and email, WhatsApp and Zalo (messages).

Photos and video

Our guides often take photos and video on the water, and on request can film your trip and send you the files. If you would rather not appear on our website or social media, tell us before or after your trip and we will not use, or will remove, pictures where you can be recognised.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking details for as long as we need them to run your trip and answer follow-up questions, and longer only where accounting or legal rules require it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email Booking@taycaufishing.com and we will reply as soon as we can. If you live in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Our site links to YouTube, Instagram, X (Twitter), WhatsApp and Zalo. When you follow those links, their own privacy policies apply.

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date below.
